The Volunteer Exchange is a standalone civic pathway, distinct from professional internships and career placements.

Designed in partnership with faith-based organizations and local community groups, this reciprocal, hours-based exchange converts civic service into vital resources, essential equipment, and daily necessities.

Exchange Tiers & Earned Rewards

Tier 1 · 3 hours

Daily Essentials

Casual clothing care packages, basic daily essentials, or single-day local transit vouchers.

Tier 2 · 5 hours

Devices & Transit

Digital devices (smartphones, tablets) or multi-ride local transit passes.

Tier 3 · 10 hours

Work-Ready Package

Advanced work-ready technology, complete professional wardrobe packages, or extended monthly transit passes.

Tier 4 · Extended service

Housing Assistance

Coordinated transitional or temporary housing placement assistance. Terms and partner criteria apply.

Service & Facility Roles

Logistics & operations — route driving, light transport, courier coordination, delivery, and errand dispatches.
Facilities & grounds — site maintenance, interior/exterior painting, groundskeeping, and landscaping.
Hospitality & sustenance — food prep, commercial kitchen assistance, event dining support, and post-service custodial care.
Education & leadership — youth mentoring, academic tutoring, skills workshops, and community group leadership.

Scope

Volunteer service hours support community partners and participant needs. They are not a substitute for the MAHVCORP internship track or agency temp-to-permanent career placement.
